The election is over...Obama won...Get over it...

Ok, the elections are over and the backlash has begun. I can honestly say that the results brought tears to my eyes for several reasons.

- Right on! They acted as if he chose his name. What a dumb thing to attack someone over. It's like being angry at someone for being the "wrong gender." Stupid.

- I thought it absolutely tasteless to have focused on his middle name to begin with. It was a play for inciting hatred, fear, and he like amongst the ill-informed or so-called "low information" voter. I cannot imagine how that made the Muslim American community feel. It was very tasteless.

- Finally! People watching the tv machine will get to know the Dr. Maddow we all love in podcast land! I am so very pleased to be able to listen to her podcast and watch her on MSNBC. She is witty, brilliant, gorgeous, and very smart.
